Well some highly regarded free flowing offenses don't have many set plays. It's just a philosophy thing. I know Coach K prefers to have the players only have offensive "ideas" and sort of run with whatever the defense gives them. Whereas a Dean Smith was a regimented run play X or Y kind of guy - defense be damned.
Just because there aren't many set plays doesn't NECESSARILY mean the team is undisciplined and jacks up crappy shots.
While I'm not condoning what Vick and his associates have apparently done(I'm a dog lover too), it has been a bit amazing to me how up and arms people are about this. It seems to have galvanized the populace the way that not even OJ murdering his wife did.
UCLA is wanting to do a complete overhaul of Pauley Pavillion for Coach Wooden's 100th birthday in 2010. They are having serious issues raising the money apparently.
It's being estimated at 40M.
I don't feel so bad about finding money for Fouts's replacement. This is UCLA BASKETBALL for God's sakes.
