Title: Mavericks May Play at The Pit Post by: Scrappy on August 16, 2006, 10:34:40 PM The Dallas Morning News is reporting that the Dallas Mavericks are in talks with North Texas to reach an agreement that would place the Mavericks in Denton for the first 5 days of training camp. This would obviously give a little extra exposure to our university and it's basketball facility. Hopefully more details are released soon.

Media would be everywhere after the season the Mavs had last year. The local stations and papers would obviously be there in full force and there would also be some ESPN and NBA TV types covering the team.
Maybe Cuban will make a donation to NT basketball after they leave town if all goes well. All the locals and some of the nationals would make it in . Perhaps bring in a big recruit in for an official visit at the same time the Mavs are in.
