I can't even begin to explain how excited I am for the first home game. Should be a lot of fun.
NT 38
FAU 35

I can't wait for the game either.
I have to disagree with my buddy CMJ though. I think our defense will surprise us on Saturday night. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I think that early bye came at just the right time.
I think we will have some different personnel in the game, play some different schemes on D....and will be much improved.
So, I'll say:
North Texas 29
FAU 20
attendance: 25,782
Here are my two hopes: 1) I hope we win; 2) I'm not asking for attendance record (though that would be nice). But, if we draw over 25,000 for a game against FAU, with no conference title on the line....that would be an all time high in one area (our biggest attendance for a game where the other school didn't bring thousands; and big crowd against a sort of no name (to the average fan) like FAU.

Hey, I'm hoping we win too. It'll be a track meet more than likely. FAU's defense isn't world beaters either, but they do seem to turn teams over - which is why I give'm the edge. Hopefully we'll have a great crowd.
I'll be listening to the first part of the game, but a friend has UCLA tickets for this weekend and asked me to go - so I'll be following the 2nd half on my cellphone.

When I left for the Bruins game we were leading - and given the way we were playing I thought we'd win. But I come home to read about the bitter defeat.
The Owls just own us.

It was pretty heartbreaking. Meager and the defensive unit are simply average to me. It is my belief that the 601 passing yards vs. SMU were due to system and the opposing teams inability to cover. I don't know that Vizza is the answer, but I know that Danny is not.
The defense DID play better in some aspects. Tackling was improved. Dom Green didn't fare much better than Roman, so I just see that CB position as a liability all year I suppose. As noted by my wife, their QB had all the time in the world to find a reciever while Danny was running for his life.
The Dan-Wagon was short lived. How about we just say Dannit.
