Rangers and 30 runs 1 Year, 3 Months ago

So the Rangers can't put together a good season and they can somehow score more runs than any other team in a game during the modern era.
I have heard some of the radio personalities from the Ticket (including George) mention one pretty hot sports opinion - Rudy Jaramillo is overated. They were ranting on this the day of the 30 run game (before it happened).
Their point was when anything great happens it is Rudy who seems to get the credit, but when Brad Wilkerson or any other strikeout king does poorly, it is all on themselves.
I am torn, because I have always been under the impression that Jaramillo is greatness - but the strikeout totals do seem to accumulate. I guess I am starting to doubt him - even in the face of 30 runs.

The thirty run output made at least 2 National News'(ABC and CBS...might've on NBC too?). It broke out of being just a "sports" story.

Post edited by: CMJ, at: 2007/08/24 09:19

I, for years now, have thought that Rudy J was overrated.
And quite frankly...he's the last guy who should be a hitting coach for Wash. Wash believes in batters being patient, working the count....drawing walks. Rudy seems to have this "swing at the first pitch, it's probably gonna be a fastball" philosophy. So, for years, guys have gone up to the plate...flailing away.
Just my opinion.....
