Rockwall, Texas, two-star offensive guard John Noble had chances to accept preferred walk-on opportunities at Northwestern, Vanderbilt or TCU. But instead he decided to pick the school that wanted him the most.
John Noble is heading to UNT. That school was North Texas.

"I committed to UNT this morning," Noble, who is 6-foot-6 and 288 pounds, said.

"I visited the school this past weekend, and my entire perception was really changed. It was a great deal. They are building a new stadium. The players are really nice, and I know they're going to get it turned around."

Noble said he was recruited by UNT recruiting coordinator Chuck Petersen.

"He's a really nice guy," Noble said. "He showed a lot of interest in me both on and off the field. It was a great visit, and he's a great guy."

Noble was an academic all-state selection as a senior. He's ranked as a two-star prospect and a 5.3 on the Rivals Rating Scale.
