Uno is 7-9. 1-4 in conference play. They beat FIU - held them to 39 points, but FIU was without Rodgers (who torched us). UNO has conference losses against FAU, Troy, MT & Denver.

Probable starters:
Young, Talishia 6'3" Sr
Bennett, Tiffina' 5'8" Fr
Cochran, Juanita 6'3" Fr
Helm, Brittany 5'8" Sr
Holmes, Nicole 5'9" Sr

The starting 5, with the exception of Candice McGee (5'11", Sr), get the most minutes... everyone else - very limited. 14 players on the roster. Coach is in her 6th year. UNO has 369 Turnovers for the year - UNT has 395. UNO is 68% from the free throw line - UNT is 62%. UNO has 169 assists - UNT has 147.

In order to be successful in todays game UNT has to take care of the ball, make their free throws and play good "team" ball. Seems very elementary - but, these are the things that are sabotaging their efforts.

I would expect to see a lot of pressure and pushing the ball - make the UNO coach go down in her bench because of foul trouble. IMO of course.

Good win, the first half was the best I've seen of the team. Hawkins just may be the answer at point, certainly not quick or flashy; but did play with confidence and made good decisions. Good game out of Hawkins, Torru, Godbolt, and James. Hudson also looked like she could be a heavy contributor the rest of the year.

Any win is a good win for the ladies right now. Still hoping this squad can gell.

I hope this is not a fair-weather assessment. You were pretty harsh a few games ago by Hawkins' contribution and talent level.

I will say it again: It is so important for the bench to get game situation minutes. They are the future of the program. Confidence, chemistry and composure can only be obtained through playing in a game.

Hawkins has obviously been working hard and is a testament that practice makes better.

Yes, a fair weather fan who has only been a season ticket holder for about twenty years. As far as Hawkins, I hope she turns into a great player, but she has a long way to go. Nothing I stated about Hawkins was untrue, at that point she was a non-factor on the team. If you want to re-live old posts, I would like to hear your current assessment of James.

One victory over a bad team does not turn a season around but it is at least going in the right direction.

Honestly, I still stick to my guns about BJ. She is a selfish player that plays with little emotion. Her personal performance means nothing if the team loses. She leads the team in every column - including TURNOVERS. As a senior on the team, a "walk" should be an unheard of mistake, which she is good for at least 2-3 times a game.

I felt better after the loss to Lafayette - I think it was the turning point of team ball and once all of the players buy into that, there will be less of a struggle for wins.

And, I didn't say a fair-weather FAN; I was speaking of your assessment. You were dogging the team saying they are a sub-par recruiting class, lacked talent and SS did no better than an average Slinker class.

I had asked on the other thread: What kind of players do you think she should be recruiting?
