It's a shame that our gals didn't play better in that opening tourney. Those games with Winthrop and Rice were very winnable.

If we'd won those or even one of them, we'd be on our way to a 6-1 or 7-0 start. I say that because our next two are cupcake games against Arkansas-Monticello and Midwestern State. (Those two SHOULD be wins).

The girls do seem to be turning things around. One thing S_link_er does do well is win at home. I haven't been keeping a close eye on the Belt - but other than MTSU and Western it's usually not that strong.

We could win the west.

The girls got another one last night. We now stand at 4-2. The Rice game especially really hurts right now. Great job getting the ship righted. We'll see how long they can keep it up.

I can tell how long they'll keep it up. They will beat Midwestern State Friday....and then lose to Oklahoma by at least 25.

Anyway, glad they're 4-2.

Of course we'll be beat by OU. I meant by "keep it up" - keeping the momentum. If we lose to the Sooners and go on a bad streak then, oh well...another crappy S_link_er season. If it's just one game against a killer squad then - well...we could make noise in league play and have one of those good S_link_er teams we have every few seasons.
