The season is failure to me because we didn't schedule or beat Duke, Georgetown, UCLA or Texas. Sorry, that's just how I see it.

What's funny is most of the real long time fans who follow basketball seem to be in JJ's camp. You won't find a bigger defender of Coach Jones than Buford. GrandGreen is often critical of JJ, but seems to very much appreciate him at the same time. SUMG is often angered by Jones - but usually seems to be on board.

Like I've stated in the past - unless you date back to around 1978 - you've never seen a better basketball team than the current run we had(nothing against Jimmy Gales tourney team). If you were here for Spika and are comparing against the old MVC or our top 20 team in 1977(I think? - maybe it was '78) - then you can be a bit snarky. Just most of the biggest bitchers graduated post 1990.

There's a number of valid in-game reasons to express frustration with JJ - he's not infallible. What's funny is that most of the people who attack him can't just appreciate the success and explain what is bothering them. He's either totally overrated or busy pulling kids out of orphanages. I have no idea how this happened, but it's kind of amazing to watch?

Maybe because a lot of the people against him are not only post-90 graduates, but not the most knowing basketball minds?

Also, the "I think X player is more of a random object than real position" joke formula will never get old to me.
