I was at a track meet all day yesterday (we won the meet by 100 points), and the PA guy was announcing notable NCAA scores in between races. When he announced the WKU score, I yelled and pumped my fist. People around me looked at me like I was nuts, but I explained that I had them in the Sweet 16 because of Sun Belt pride.

When I got home, I watched the highlights on espn.com several times. That must have been a great game to watch.

It was a fantastic game to watch. Even when Drake stormed back, I was almost okay with it(even as I watched us apparently lose money) just because I thought Drake would have an excellent shot at advancing deep and being the "little guy" the country could get behind.

Then the overtime was gut wrenching. I let out a whoop of joy and semi-crazed laughter then Ty Rogers shot went thru.

I was watching via the Yahoo Game Tracker at work................With 5.whatever seconds left I knew pretty much a buzzer beater would be all that could happen.

Next thing I knew, the final popped up.

I had UConn beating the Tops next round.

On paper WKU got a break getting San Diego, but with Price out with a sprained knee, maybe Connecticut woulda been the better matchup for Western.
