I think I'd turn down the CBI....if we get offered 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 7  
I think this CBI tournament is going to be a HUGE bust. I think it will end up being a lot of also rans, and very few schools from major conferences.
I also think a lot of the games will be played in fairly empty arenas.

So, why risk pissing off the NCAA (which owns the NIT)...to play in this?

Just my opinion. I'd sure hate to be a "bubble team" for the NCAA or NIT in future years....not get it...and have to wonder if playing in the CBI had any effect on that.

If it was a tourney with 16 middies that didn't get into the Big Dance(s) it might be fun. I actually think it'll be opposite. I'm afraid you'll see some schools like Georgia Tech(under .500) in there because the CBI figures they'd draw better than us.

The CBI watch was alot of fun while it lasted. I'll probably even catch some of the tournement if it comes on out here(it's on FCS which I don't have, but some might be on regular Fox Sports).
