NT beats ASU 6 Months ago Karma: 5
Got scary at the end. Have a tough game on the road next, but we've managed to work our way back into this thing. We're holding the 5th seed again, like last year. UALR is giving us no help up top though.

I really hate that we don't get a return trip from UALR. To make things worse is it should've worked in our favor because the Eastern school we played twice was Troy. That's a very favorable schedule, but we could only get a split and not a sweep. We could've made hay with that 2 game set, but we didn't.

I thought we stunk it up last night. If not for Collin's 6-for-7 shooting from 3 point land, we'd have lost that game.

And I became unglued with about a minute left, and an 8 point lead, and Kedrick throws in a lackadaisical inbounds pass...that gets stolen, and the guy hits a 3....to cut it to a 5 point lead.

If we play like last night....I see us losing both games this week, winning our home tourney game...then losing the first game in Mobile. Final record: 19-12.

But, if we can get back to playing like we were the previous three games....we can beat any SBC team. Any where.

So, maybe last night will be a wakeup call...and we'll go to South Louisiana and get back on track.

Losing both would not shock me. Getting a split would not surprise me. Winning both would surprise me.

I agree that the team didn't play well. If it wasn't for Dennis draining huge 3 after huge 3, we would have lost. Our offense was just ugly to watch and it seemed that the only time we scored was on good individual moves that weren't apart of the offense. That has always kind of been how it is with JJ coached teams, but last night was especially bad. Also, how many points did we give up in the 2nd half? I think the guys lost focus after 3 dominating defense performances.

All you can do is win and even the best teams have off nights, but that was a team we should have beat handily. Here's to hoping that we play well in the last 2 games and bring the kind of momentum into the tourney that last years team did.
