UTA fan checking in...nice website!

there was some talk on the UTA board we might play a home-and-home with ya'll. The games back in the 80s and early 90s were always really good and had good crowds at both gyms. Texas Hall really rocks when there's a good crowd and good opponent. Might be a couple of really good games.

Thanks, the website is certainly a work in progress - it is pretty new.

I am glad to have UTA on the schedule. I always hear so many bad things about Texas Hall I want to see this for myself. It can't be as bad as some say. Regardless about the venue, I am hope we continue to play UTA.

Didn't UTA sign a pretty good recruit recently?

Donuald Bell, who's a star guard will play for the Mavs this year. He played at Sam Houston High and was recruited by some big-time schools.

We also have a verbal signing (nothing official until signing day--november??) with DeAndre Brown, another talented guard from Dunbar for the 2007-2008 season. Another player who probably could have gone to much bigger schools/conferences but decided to stay and play ball close to home. But he and Bell both might be some of the biggest signings in the school's history.

UTA has been talking very seriously about finding a way to build a new arena in the next few years...Texas Hall is a great place to watch a game. Kinda different with the floor being about 4 feet higher than the first row on one side, but there's not a bad seat in the house. Come on down to Arlington and see the game--you'll like the atmosphere and the sightlines.

I believe it was Deandre Brown I was thinking of. We seem to be going the D1 transfer route.
